The upper link is an example of magic, which to me is one form of mind manipulation.

There are other kind of ways to affect the other persons actions when you communicate. For instance if I nod while I speak, the other person tends to agree with me more than without nodding.

How ever, I don't like the idea of maipulating someone to trust me, or do as I say. I want to trust they will do as they wish anyway. At the same time I, of course, want to make my offers sound as good as possible, so that people who might be interested are not turned away from it just because it was presented badly. For these points, I would like to be as truthful and clear as possible, and I think when I know what I want to say and why, it's going to turn out good.

For the entertainment and feelings of awe, though, I think magic is awesome.
