I think we are out of sync with terminology.
You interpret skills as talent, which some define as opposites.

Thank you for the notion, I may have jumped to conclusions too quickly. It's nice that we can converce about the matter this deep
But I still think that talent is based on something we have learned - if not skills then competence. When doing some thing for the first time, we are using the competence we have learned when we are learning and using skills. Lets say I have a competence for playing guitar.
