Hi dear forum mates.
I have sometimes divided my day-practice to view shorter session rather than having just one longer one. With longer practice I get to train tenacity, but the shorter are good to keep track on how I'm doing with relaxation.
Have you tried working with different duration, and have you noticed any difference with it? Thank you!
Also, is there a amount of time you can safely practice per day? If I practice more than 3 hours a day, is there something I need to make sure of? Nutritionally I think I have it covered Thank you very much!   _________________ "As you think, so shall you become." - Bruce Lee

Milla, longer sessions, especially with static exercises, are good for training psyche. Taking breaks may be done when necessary, however, it makes sense to train for a while intensively, and then take breaks.
3 hours a day is very intensive, do you mean just Wing Chun or altogether practices you do? (running, stretching, etc).   _________________ Не пытайся - делай.

When I read about you practicing 3 hours a day I went in shock! If you really do that for mentioned period of time, you're really cool! Every day?!
I prefer short but very active workouts - forms, steps, punches, kicks. They let me know when I'm getting tense and help me deal with being cold at university or boredom. And I get more energy after such sessions - so I can do more things. Because when I workout for a lengthy period of time I get tired eventually and don't have a heart to do anything else for some time afterwards.   _________________ What doesn't destroy me, makes me stronger. - F. I usually practice Wing Chun from an hour to two hours a day, and then might run for 45 minutes or more, and do stretching and yoga. Usually the three hours are filled, but not every day.
The thins is that I feel I would need to practice more to have the principles in my head. So I want to find a way to make it possible and still stay healthy.
What kind of exercises are you doing on your own, Irene? Can you give me examples? Thank you   _________________ "As you think, so shall you become." - Bruce Lee

I do first and seconds forms. And after second form I always get winded! Then I may do some shadow fighting or practice steps, blocks or combinations. And on the second day after classes I usually feel the need to do some push-ups and squats.   _________________ What doesn't destroy me, makes me stronger. - F. Nietzshe
